A small set of rules that keep the work focused when it would be easier to add more.
Designed, not decorated
Every screen earns its place. If a feature does not make the app clearer, it does not ship.
Automate the boring parts
The best feature is the one that removes a task entirely. If something can happen quietly in the background, it should.
Privacy as a default
Your data belongs to you. Local-first storage, no tracking for its own sake, no selling anything on.
Fast, always
Apps should open instantly and work offline. Speed is the feature people notice every single day.

I build mobile apps on my own — design, code, support, the lot. Mira started as something I needed myself and couldn't find done properly: a way to see not just where my money went, but what I was feeling when it went there.
Working alone forces a kind of honesty. There's no room for features nobody asked for, so every screen has to earn its place. Start with the real problem, remove everything that isn't essential, and make the next step obvious.
