This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Sticks & Squares (“the app”) handles your information. The app is provided by Hilal Al Hinai (“we”, “us”).
The app does not require you to create an account or sign in. Your player profile — nickname, avatar, favorite color, statistics, level, achievements, and settings — is stored only on your own device and is not sent to us.
When you play an online match, the app uses Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) to sync the game between devices. During an online match the following is stored temporarily in the match record:
This information is used solely to run the multiplayer game. It is not used for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Online matches include an optional text/emoji chat visible only to players who share the same 6-character room code. You can report or block another player from the chat at any time by long-pressing a message. Reported messages are recorded so they can be reviewed. We do not tolerate abusive or objectionable content.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. No sign-up is required, and profiles are stored on-device.
The app contains no advertising and does no cross-app tracking.
On-device data stays on your device until you reset it (Settings → Reset Local Data) or delete the app. Online match data (including chat) is stored in Firebase for the purpose of running and moderating matches and may be deleted periodically.
The app uses Google Firebase to provide multiplayer functionality. Your use of that service is subject to Google’s privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
